Sparkling Summer Wine
A new track called “Sparkling Summer Wine” by Tonal Essences has been released.
​
The "Sparkling Summer Wine" track is an experiment with unusual chords and chord progressions while using arpeggios and harmony. The track sounded sparkly like bubbles rising in a glass and in parts like the glug as wine is poured from a bottle. A sound in the rhythm track sounded like the exhale of a breath after having a drink, so eventually the track title "Sparkling Summer Wine" came to mind.
Site back with a glass of wine as you listen to this track and think of summer. Cheers!

Digital Highway
A new track called “Digital Highway” by Tonal Essences has been released.
​
The “Digital Highway” track is another track that was inspired by experimenting with sounds and features in the Studio One DAW (Digital Audio Workstation) that is use and some Analog Lab instruments and Impact XT drum sounds.
It was only after creating the track that the title Digital Highway came to mind as you could imagine all those bits and bytes whizzing around the internet.

Changing Times
A new track called “Changing Times” by Tonal Essences has been released.
​
The “Changing Times” track was inspired by experimenting with sounds and features in the Studio One DAW (Digital Audio Workstation) that is use, in particular the Oboe sound and the Mizmar sound. The Mizmar instrument is like a “horn” because of its trumpet-like sound and shape and versions of it can be found throughout the Middle East.

Saturn's Rings
A new track called “Saturn's Rings” by Tonal Essences has been released.
​
When listening to this track try to imagine approaching Saturn’s rings and seeing the countless small icy particles jostling and bumping together. See the different ring densities and fly through the Cassini Division a large gap in the rings and emerge on the other side of the rings. Look back at the rings and see Sun and star light sparking off the ice particles as the light passes through the rings as you pass into the rings shadow all with Saturn looming in front of you.

A Bright New Morning
A new track called “A Bright New Morning” by Tonal Essences has been released.
​
As usual the music was composed mix and produced using midi instruments, in a Digital Audio Workstation (DAW).

Minimalism
A new track called “Minimalism” by Tonal Essences has been released.
​
A while back there was an interesting BBC TV program called Tones, Drones and Arpeggios about the Minimalist style of music which originated on the West Coast of America in the 1950/1960s. This TV program inspired this piece of music, and allowed experimentation with rhythmic patterns and echo, keeping you guessing if the music had come to an end.

Seashore
A new track called “Seashore” by Tonal Essences has been released.
​
The Seashore track is a chill-out instrumental which I hope helps you relax.
Sit back and relax while listening to the music and try and imagine walking along the seashore on a nice sunny day. The sea is gently lapping in and out on the sandy beach while gulls call out above you. At the end of the beach you are able to explore a cave before emerging back into the daylight again.

Marionette Dance
A new track called “Marionette Dance” by Tonal Essences has been released.
The Marionette Dance track is an instrumental and was inspired by listening to some EDM drum rhythms. The music was composed, mixed and mastered entirely in a Digital Audio Workstation (DAW) using 20 different MIDI instruments.
While listening to the music try to imagine a wooden puppet on strings dancing to the music.

Speed
A new track called “Speed” by Tonal Essences has been released.
​
The Speed track was inspired by a particular synth sound that sounds like a speeding racing car. The music was composed, mixed and mastered using 18 different synthesisers.
While listening to the music try to imagine speeding cars and the pistons and tappets straining to deliver that speed.

Quantum Fields EP
The EP called “Quantum Fields” by Tonal Essences has been released.
​
The “Quantum Fields” EP consists of three tracks:-
​
1. City of Dreams. While listening to the City of Dreams track try to imagine a modern city, tall glass towers, glass cathedrals, and vehicles flying through the air all on a nice bright sparkling sunny morning.
​
2. Space Port One. While listening to the Space Port One track try to imagine orbiting Earth and seeing a space port come up over the horizon getting closer and finally docking with the space station.
​
3. Quantum Fields. The subject of Quantum Field Theory (QFT) is complicated and mind-boggling, it treats particles such as photons and electrons as excited states of an underlying physical field. While listening to the Quantum Field Theory track try to imagine things like the cosmic microwave background radiation, particles coming into and out of existence, electrons changing energy levels and finally the release of energy. All of which and more make up our cosmos.
