A relative of mine took the Red Sky picture in December 2021 and I wanted to use it as some album cover artwork, which is how this track came about. The full track is available to listen to for FREE on YouTube.

Neutrino by Tonal Essences
A new track called “Neutrino” by Tonal Essences has now been released.
​
The inspiration for this Neutrino track came from a BBC TV program called “Neutrino: Hunting the Ghost Particle” which was very interesting. Apparently, Neutrinos go straight through the earth at nearly the speed of light, all the time, day and night, in enormous numbers. About 100 trillion neutrinos pass through our bodies every second. Neutrinos, unlike most subatomic particles, have no electric charge, they’re neutral, hence the name, so scientists can’t use electric or magnetic forces to capture them. Hence why physicists call them “ghost particles.” The Neutrino comes in three different types. It was thought that the Neutrino had no mass but a recent experiment which showed that a Neutrino could change from one type to another apparently is only possible if the Neutrino had mass. A new track called “Blue Sky Thinking” by Tonal Essences has now been released.

Blue sky thinking is a form of creative brainstorming where there are absolutely no limits, no judgments and no consequences, you just let your imagination take over and the sky's the limit. That is what I tried to express in this music.

Lighter Than Air by Tonal Essences
A new track called “Lighter Than Air” by Tonal Essences has now been released.
​
For this track, I decided to try out the E Lydian scale which is all the black notes plus two white notes on the piano keyboard. The Lydian scale is said to have a strange, ethereal quality. The Lydian scale sounds like the major scale until that fourth note hits, and suddenly, you’re left floating in space. I thought this might make it suitable for the “Lighter Than Air” track.

Ozone by Tonal Essences
The new track called “Ozone” by Tonal Essences is out now.
​
The ozone layer is that thin part of the Earth's atmosphere that absorbs almost all of the sun's harmful ultraviolet light. Without this layer, we would be in big trouble. Ozone is a colourless or pale blue gas.
​

Be Bold by Tonal Essences
The new track called “Be Bold” by Tonal Essences is out now.
​
To try something different with this Be Bold track I used the D Dorian scale. I also tried to harmonise a lot more and different types of instruments. It was an orchestral section within this track that sounded dramatic that gave rise to the title Be Bold.
​

I thought this track sounded chirpy, cheerful or lively and thinking of the future when long-range space travellers return to Earth the title Terra Euphoria was suggested as the feeling of being happy to see Earth again.

Enceladus by Tonal Essences
The new track called “Enceladus” by Tonal Essences is out now.
​
Enceladus is the sixth-largest moon of Saturn and is mostly covered by fresh, clean ice, making it one of the most reflective bodies in our Solar System. There are water-rich plumes venting from the South Polar Region. I inverted the picture as I thought it worked better that way up on the album artwork. Anyway, what way is up, in space!😕
​
While listening to the Enceladus track try and imagine a strange and weird icy moon where water icy is being vented from the surface and falling back to the surface as ice.
​
I used a plug-in called "Brauer Motion" by waves.com on the Enceladus track on a number of the instruments to move their sound within the stereo image.
​

Entropy by Tonal Essences
The new track called “Entropy” by Tonal Essences is out now.
​
I don’t know if you have come across the word “Entropy” before. I came across the name some years back when learning some Physics/Maths stuff.
My understanding of Entropy, which is probably not 100% accurate is it’s about going from an ordered/organised state to a disordered/chaotic state. An example I found on the internet was “If all the molecules are in one corner of a container then this would be a low entropy state (highly organised). As the particle move out and fill up the rest of the container then the entropy (disorder) increases.”
I used a plug-in called Ovox on this new music to distort the sound of a lot of the instruments. I also had fun with the tempo of the song, at the start and later on in the music. So in the end I thought the track sounded chaotic (while hopefully still musical) so my first title name was Chaos but I thought the name Entropy might also apply and intrigue people.

Catch The Dawn Light by Tonal Essences
The new track called “Catch The Dawn Light” by Tonal Essences is out now.

The “Catch The Dawn Light” track gradually developed from a basic guitar melody. The final track made me think of sunshine or the morning or daybreak and eventually the title “Catch The Dawn Light” came to mind.

You Brighten My Day by Tonal Essences
The new track called “You Brighten My Day” by Tonal Essences is out now.
​
Unlike many of my other tracks, this track is not attempting to paint a picture or tell a story. For this track, I decided the aim would be to go for an up-tempo, upbeat, uplifting track and try a different Key and also try some EDM drum rhythms. I hope you like the track and that perhaps it brightens your day.
